Applications for adding new or changing existing Basic Training positions will be reviewed using the following process:
Applications received by relevant health services (by 31 October, annually)
Applications reviewed by the VBPTC Statewide Governance Committee (November)
Recommendations from the SGC discussed with relevant health services (November – January)
Final review and approval completed by the SGC (February)
Approved position changes incorporated into the centralised recruitment process managed by RCH and MCH (April – August)
Positions commence the following clinical year
