Induction and Graduation Ceremony

 
 

Each year the VBPTC host the Victorian Paediatric Induction and Graduation Ceremony. The ceremony provides the opportunity to welcome the newest paediatric trainees as they commence their training journey, and to congratulate those trainees who have completed their training and are now officially Paediatricians.  

New trainees and graduates are invited to attend, and encouraged to bring along their friends and family to acknowledge and celebrate their paediatric training journey. The night is full of love, laughs and special moments.

We look forward to welcoming all new trainees, and congratulating all graduating trainees at future Induction and Graduation Ceremonies. Health service representatives including Unit Heads, Educational Supervisors and Rotation Supervisors are also invited to attend and enjoy the celebrations.

Details for the 2026 ceremony will be published here by October each year.

TBC (usually held during the first week of the clinical year)

LOCATION:

Ella Latham Theatre, The Royal Children’s Hospital

TIMING:

5:30 arrival (red carpet and champagne), with the ceremony commencing at 6pm.
A light supper is provided immediately following the ceremony.
